Descripción del Programa: Este programa capacita en la obtención segura de muestras de sangre mediante punción capilar y venopunción en pacientes adultos, pediátricos y neonatales. Incluye manejo, etiquetado y procesamiento de muestras, preparación de frotis sanguíneos y mantenimiento de la integridad para análisis de laboratorio. También cubre atención al paciente, normas de seguridad, terminología médica, RCP (Heartsaver), comunicación y habilidades laborales.

Program Objective: Prepare students for entry-level employment as Behavioral Health Technicians in mental health and substance use treatment settings.
Program Description:
This 30-hour program provides foundational training in behavioral health, including substance use disorders, mental health conditions, and trauma-informed care. Students learn effective communication, client observation, documentation, and crisis intervention skills. Instruction covers Florida laws such as the Baker Act and Marchman Act, the 12-Step recovery model, ethical practices, and professional boundaries. The program emphasizes real-world application to support clients safely and effectively.

4 Hrs Medication Assistance Certification- Initial Training: Required for any unlicensed person assisting residents of an assisted living facility (ALF) or home care w/ their medications in the state of FL. This course covers legal & regulatory principles, medication assistance techniques, documentation requirements & more. Certification upon course completion. Cost – $75.
2 Hrs Medication Assistance Certification Renewal: RENEWAL ONLY! Those who completed the initial 4 hrs training in Florida. Florida law requires all persons who assist residents w/ self-administered medications to complete 2 hrs of continuing education in this field. This course meets those requirements. (Employers must have proof of your initial 4 hour training.) Cost – $55

Program Objective: To prepare the student with the necessary skills for employment such as hemodialysis tech or dialysis tech.
Program Description: The Hemodialysis technician includes but is not limited to communication and interpersonal skills, legal and ethical responsibilities, renal health- illness concepts, hemodialysis skills, emergency procedures including CPR and first aid, safety and security procedures, medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, and employability skills. Hemodialysis technicians focus on two different capacities, one being the assembly of the equipment as well as the maintenance of the equipment and the second focus of the Hemodialysis Technician is on patient care.

Program Description: The Medical Assistant with Basic X-Ray Program prepares students for entry-level healthcare positions by providing training in clinical and administrative medical assisting skills, including patient care, laboratory procedures, EKG testing, basic radiology concepts, and medical office operations.
Program Objective: The objective of this program is to equip students with the knowledge and practical skills needed to assist healthcare providers, perform basic clinical procedures, and support safe, efficient patient care in a medical setting.

Program Description: The Patient Care Technician program includes instruction in various procedures related to the hospital and home health environments. This program offers abroad foundation of knowledge and skills, expanding the traditional role of the nursing assistant, for both acute and long-term care settings. The program focuses on broad, transferable skills and stresses understanding and demonstration of the following elements of the health care industry, planning, management, finance, technical and production skills, underlying principles of technology, labor issues, community issues and health, safety, and environmental issues.
